I heard of this, but I finally got a chance to try it out and was amazed to see how well it worked.. I carried a 50' Nylon anchor rope that I got from home depot.
A buddy of mine went off the trail and down over the edge for about 35 feet and we pushed, shoved, sweared and no way we could get it back up the edge. We spun the bike around and tied the rope off to a tree on the upper side of the trail and the other end to the left side of the axle. We put the bike in reverse and within a few wraps it tightened up on the axle and began to pull. He ran the throttle and the clutch as i guided the rope on the axle to keep it away from the sprocket and the tire. inside of 1 minute the bike crawled itself up the hill and back onto the trail.... Heck yeh, so I had to share.
