Going HAAM on vtwin

Been down 5 weeks after putting a chainsaw into my knee cap....I finished up my new a-arms since stock was twisted and most bushings sloppy. But I still had time so now to brace and fix cracked frame mounts at top of frame. Going to throw a dual exhaust on while I am in there, finish my 12hole air box mod drop in cams and jet it. Nothing else to do if you can't ride then built and make better. 2hrs didthis with a bad knee and no help. Motor will require a friend. Not sure when I'll ride again as it may take a few more week for full movement.

I broke my left foot in Oct walking the dog. We were clearing avserbice road and the blade skipped off a small tree cutting horizontal caught my jeans and chewed into my knee which already had a scare...I made hamburger. Figured it was the last piece we needed to cut then go ride. Back to building while down. I had my riding boots on and got me just above them. Things happen.
I'm getting there. Setting up gig for +3 or +4 swingarm on my raptor and think i'll build my own dual exuast on the KFX...not sure I'm cool with HMF's dual set up. Off to ebay!

Motor is out, how to fix up the frame and get it all powder coated. Off to ebay for some parts
Bought an HMF pipe. Prob build headers over winter. Im not a dual exhaust fan. Got a busted up tail light for the wiring to use for the factory connector into my LED small tail light. Fixed up my rear ends bad seals. Tomorrow gonna weld some on this frame.

We spent 3hours fixing up cracks, breaks and bends. Thru in a few gussets where these frames like to break too. Everything is at powder coater now. I got a few things back today I started preparing. I was suprized a slip on came with 1 header. I contacted hmf to buy the other off the dual set up so I don't have to built one lol.

12 hole air box mod is done. Tonight I will machine a billet snorkel block off, I never go more then a whole into mud / water puddles on a sport toy. Going to build a fixture for new front header since hmf won't sell my just a front header I can mod. Hope to start reassembling this weekend.

Waiting for my frame back. Powder coater seemed to miss place all of my last drop off...been waiting 3weeks now.

Got a call they lost my crap again but will do it this week. WTF. Never had these issues in 10 years...new guy get hired now I still can't ride this bike.

Got my stuff back today so started rebuild.

HRE atv arm stock length with 16mm removeable ball joints and kfx450r shocks jocaga dual rated for my weight. That's enought for today...time for pizza and Pepsi

Dull polished spindles and finished arms. Time for veal parm sub and a Pepsi. Might not get anymore done today. Riding tomorrow with my 660r.

Got a little more done. Motor and swinger back in tomorrow, thats a two person job sunce motors a good 200lbs it seems. Might throw stage 1cams in it since valve cover seal went on both cylinders last year at some point.

Yeah but I got issues with the shocks jogaca did for me. Maybe it's just what I'm working with since its half utility

I have to mess with trying to get rid of the negitive camber these machines came with. I got the back half of wiring done. We put some gussets that happened to be right where I needing wiring to go. 3 hours later with paying I got around everything.

I may change out to trx450r rear hubs to run 9" rims on my 20" mudlites. Got rear fenders just laying on right now, should be able to bolt them down tomorrow. I am kinda tired of working on it now but at the same time I need it finished ASAP so the raptor get get a longer rear end and go in for motor work.

2 machines is better then the 4-5 I had last year.

Got the main harness into place and routed nice on the rim skin. Ordered new exhaust gaskets and oil filter. Need plugs but I'll let my guy do that since he's gonna be in the head soon anyway. Should be a few more days til exhaust goes on. An idea on size, 48" wide rear. 47" front. Little smaller then it once was.

Intake and fuel system all hooked up. After the last of my parts come is its ready to go for jetting.

Exhaust done. Front wheels and tires are getting sold to kid who bought my 450r. They are too skinny and small, 22" my ass.
