Finally got time to play in shop with my buddy. He's been out 4-5 weeks after an intestine rupture while I'm I my 5th cold from my 8 month old.

Got my rims off front. Need to dismount this weekend then lazer cut rings for front rims. New tires are needed then.

Heel guard mods started. Need a few volts for my roll design pegs then so we can get a correct placement mock up done. Tonight we cut metal off and welded up the factory holes in the raptor 250 guards that won't be used. Going back Wednesday to do next round of cutting. Hope these are fictional in two weeks. Then off for powder coating. I have the time yet since it's 20 here most days so let's do it right and do it once. Plus I like stuff no one else can do it dream up.

Back to the shop tonight about 2 hrs. They are cut, new holes, old holes all welded and ground flush. Material added and welded in place. Next week ill drill the final frame mounting holes, then it's off to powder coater. Front rims are getting lazer cut rings in them like I did the rears. Ims wanted $500 for a rear set....I'll have $80 into it myelf.

Cut my rings for front rims tonight. Worked on last frame mount for heel guards, also cut metal for the fender mounts. I had to remove the stock mounts due to heel guards so I made a mount off the heel guard I will rubber mount. Going back to shop tuesday to hopefully finish up. All this on off cut test fit crap burns up so much time. 2 more hours in.

Comes home friday. I put the new rims and tires on it today, fired it up after sitting awhile. It's very dirty from the machine shop and needs a bath. Nothing but mud and slop here or else I would of road to tonight. 6-8 more weeks and it's go time.

Came home, bolted everything on, stripped some stuff off to sell on eBay. New front bumper is comming so it fits in my truck with the tail gate closed. Kinda don't like the hmf exhaust. Wish I had not thrown out the stock one.

Bikes a runner. I just sold off my built KFX450R front shocks I had built for the 700. I didn't like them and for what my wife needs and stock felt a little better softer in the rocks. HMF exhaust i got I hate...it's nothing but noise even with a quite core in it. That was a failure but that's how modding goes until you find what helps for how ya use the toys. Bikes still a handfull for her, these things like to have the front ends dance around at high speeds since they are in the air most of time.
