We just returned from our first visit to the Hatfield-McCoy Trails in West Virginia, and I loved it! We took two Raptor 700s, a 660, and a LTZ 400 as a spare. Three riders rode an estimated 250 miles in the Rockhouse, Pinnacle, and Bear Wallow trail areas. We RV camped at www.TwinHollowCampground.com in Gilbert, WV.

Damage was limited to a front sprocket on the 660 (1st day, 1st hour!) and a flat front tire on my blue 700. Four plugs in the sidewall are still working. Parts and tires are readily available in Gilbert.

Here are a few pics including a few from Galax, Virginia.

I was thinking of going this or next weekend, I am not too far from Little Coal River which I kind of like! I live in West Virginia so its not too much of a big deal for me. Sure is fun up in them hills huh? Been to Buffalo Mountain too, that trail is a lot of work!

Bear Wallow has just been groomed and the trails were pretty fast. We were nearly the only ones there too. It was neat to see the mines and coal laying everywhere.
