Had motor built, 11:1, 105.5 bore, 6mil stroke, ported head. W/ the
my tuning the headers glow red "VERY RED" with in a few seconds of starting
the motor. The LM1 says at idle its 14:1. Im gonna try changing out
my gas, just to make sure it has 93 octain. It's been in the tank about
6 months. At what piont do I need to run race gas or higher octain?
Can having not enough octain make it run hot. I know that the glowing
is a lean condition. Im gonna use the the tune I was sent and adjust the
the buttons until I get It dyno tuned. Teraflx you skid is going out Mon.
Got tied up with the new motor!!

Thanks man. I went riding a few days ago and bent my rear sprocket to go along with my bent rear rotor. I have new ones but I am gonna wait to install them till I get the skid so I dont ruin them too. Thanks again man. :thumbsup:

Rule of thumb on pump gas is it starts to degrade after 90 days. I run "race" fuel in mine just for the simple fact that its a better quality fuel more so than the octane rating- which is VP Fuel 101 Streetblaze. Tune that thing on the dyno and get er dialed in :thumbsup:

Try getting the A/F down to 13.4 or so. True stoich. is a bit lean in reality.

This might be a really lame question, and sorry if it is......but I just have to make sure. Did you get an 11.1 comp piston with the 105.5 bore (734).....THEN get the +6mil stroker? That would put your compression up there at over 14.1....in which case you would be running REAAAAALLLY low octane for that setup.

Im sure your not though........just checking, you never know!

135boom, no lame questions here. It was all done at once. I wanted
a FAST trail bike. I wanted to still be able to run 93 octane gas. Dont
look like it now. I also have a problem with my fan, it never comes on.
I disconected the fitting at the temp sensor. I jumped the connection
and the fan worked. I guess I need a new sensor?!? The connection at
the rear is pushed all the way in!
