2001 raptor 660 I finally got it to hold a charge . Now though it starts every time when it starts it starts in gear and tires spinning fast . If it was on flat ground it would take off . Please has anyone heard or dealt with this before. Thank you all advice greatly appreciated.

Is it in neutral?
Even so, the tires may turn when the wheels are off the ground if the clutch is out of adjustment.
Also check the engine idle speed.

It feels like it when I go through the gears with my foot before I start it . Also the first 2 or 3 times the wheels were going in reverse real fast . After playing with the shift lever I finally thought I got it back in neutral but now they spin forward really fast.

Download the Service Manual from the Stickie Section.
That will walk you through the clutch adjustment.
Check the reverse cable adjustment by the manual too.
Put all the tires on the ground.
Crank in neutral, try putting it in gear and riding.

With it on the ground. Start it in 2nd gear and Rev it up and drive it. As you are rolling give it some throtlle. If the rpms increase but your speed doesn't match the revs...you clutch is toast or out of adjustment
