Hi, just modded my Raptor with air filter, no lid and exhaust mods. Do I really need to have a K&N Filter on the breather or can I just use a larger fuel filter in place?

You want something that catches dust in air - not sure how well a sintered fuel filter would work here. Auto parts stores have small air filters in a housing for maybe $10.

I run a small filter I got from autozone for $10. Th inlet was not the right size so I just used a small deepwell socket and put it in the breather hose and the filter then clamped it.

I have a K&N filter in pkg. that was designed for 1/8scale RC racing. It's about 1-1/4 inches wide, and about 1" tall. It would be real easy to make it work. Do you think it would be ok to use it? It has the same material as the one shown in the pic, but a bit smaller.

That's it. Cool. I will just that. I have had this filter in a pkg. for several years as I only use foam filters in the rc vehicles due to the amount of dust.

Thanks for looking that up.
