i was thinking the other day about making a hybrid cause our motor's
way around 150 pounds and that's allot. dose anyone one know how much the 700 motor weighs.

i was thinking maybe a 450,525 or the 700 something lighter i know it's possible
but takes a lot of fabricating. has anyone done this besides the r1 swap.
what do u guy's think.

I would just wait for the ktm quad to come out and get one. I put a cr500 motor in my banshee let me tell you its a pain in the ass to build your own hybrid and takes ALOT of time. Unless you have your own welder and are dam good at fabrication I wouldnt even bother. The only way I would do another is if it was a street bike motor. A yfz450 can put out 55 and up with the right parts.

If you are going to swap a motor though, why not go all out and do the r1?

to heavy, and yea it would cost alot but the whole point is to have something different
and still light and quick.

no, i wasn't saying there slow there far from it there wild animals
but my goal it to try to make a great freestyle/mx rappy. now they weight about
426 lb dry weight and that's a lot so using a hi modded 450 motor would be perfect.

a r1 motor would be to heavy for that. I love hitting jumps and i want something unique
