just wanted to share some pics of a recent trip to Moab...
14 hour drive from lost angeles/ $570 gas rt
Stayed 6 days at Horse thief campground just outside of Canyonlands national park aprox 11 miles in on hwy 313 last week. awsome spot to camp. best of all it was free, no rangers (off season).
supplies check
horse thief campground
20 tires between 2 people - two quads, two bikes, truck/ trailer.
my favorite exit on the way to moab
saw not one other soul on the trail heading to the green river.
trails were mostly graded.
the money shot
break time
we ended up riding the bikes more than the quads and got the see the sights, the whole area looked like a national park
prolly the best shot of the trip.
background is 'Slick Rocks' (where they film the comericals) i wanted to take the quads to this riding area but in fact the legal riding area is 5 square miles. no go for me. i was soooo tempted to ride the bike of the face of the rock in the background
