1) put a full aftermarket exhaust system on
2) open the air box, add K&N or equivalent filter
3) jet accordingly

THis is called the 'big three' and will give you significantly more power over stock at a cost between $300 and $600 with some patience and luck.

THEN, when you're used to these improvements, (6 months to a year from now) come back and ask for what should be next... we'll tell you then. Your current question is way too open ended... you'll understand in 6 months.

Save your money for when the one-way clutch goes, then save your money for when the transmission goes.

After that year is over with, throw some yfz/700 shocks on the front and follow up with a pipe, intake and some jets and just enjoy the ride.

lowsbody and qcraptor, even with a 700 the OP wouldn't be satisfied. Case in point, your respective mod plans and current mods to your 700's ;)

The one way starter clutch goes bad on most of the 660's. It is not a cheap fix. I replace mine early before I had a problem with them. Still $150 or so but you have to pay to play.

The 01 trannys have a bad design and 2nd gear goes bad in them more often then the other trans(02-05)
