This topic comes up from time to time which usually devolves into a pissing match. Here is the dyno sheet from when I tested them both.
This is empire dual system and monster shorty. Machine is a 2015 raptor 700 with following engine modification:
+7mm falicon crank
High compression 105.5mm piston
+2mm stainless valve Cuervo head
Cuervo 5250 camshaft
54mm empire throttle body

Both were tested one after the other same day. Bike was not even unstrapped from dyno between tests.

This example is on a decent size engine. For a stock engine, you would not notice the difference as they don’t rev enough to matter.

That was my bike used for the testing. He also has a smaller build he’s been using for testing things more in the realm of what the majority will be interested in.
