I've got a basicaly stock 04 raptor 660 and after riding one day i got back on it to crank it up and it wouldnt take gas when i pressed the throttle but it idle fine. I thought maybe i had a piece of trash in the carbs so i took them off and went through them and cleaned them and there was some dirt in it but when i put it back on it still did the same thing. i was wondering if the valves may need to be adjusted??

Id say you probably didnt completely clean your carbs completely, I'd use a piece of high gauge wire to clean it, any speaker wire will do, to break any larger pieces that you cant see and that carb cleaner won't get.

Check both the parking brake switch and the reverse switch - read "Most Common 660 Problems explained" in stickies near top of the 660 Discussion section - look for the description of the rev limiters, about the second section if i recall.
