I have recently acquired a 2002 raptor 660 I was told it runs rough and that I needed to clean the carbs so I removed the plastics and started in. When I tried to pull the choke cable out it stripped and cracked and broke off, the throttle body was as equally rusted on the inside. So I just bought a used carb, is there anything that I MUST do before starting the machine. I am still waiting on the new starter set (choke plunger) Part 42 on yamaha diagram..... I also have my old one still, so I took the top pieces off and saw that the rubber diaphragm was folded and wrinkled and in bad shape should I try to rebuild and sell to get my money back for new part or just trash it?
