on top of the oil tank theres two hoses one turns tight the other clamps...whats the one that clamps on for?? how hot is the oil in the return hose, like enough to melt plastic hot??

The oil isn't any hotter than the Whole motor, 160-210 degrees so if your plastic melts at those temps then yes.

There are three hoses that attach to the oil tank, a small vent tube at the top which attaches to the valve cover.
A hard line that attaches with a nut to the tank towards the left upper side of the tank, this line is from the scavenger pump, and all excess oil from the engine goes to the oil tank through this line.
One in the bottom that has two allen head screws that attaches a flanged elbow to the bottom of the tank this line has a filter inside the tank, this is the suction line that goes to the engine and supplies oil to the engine's oil pump......................
