Hi, my sons mostly Stock Raptor 125 has started overheating, any ideas on potential causes would be helpful. 30 minutes in on XC course, only about 75 degrees outside....
  1. Procom CDI set on "2"
  2. UNI Filter
  3. GYTR FMF exhaust
  4. NGK iridium Plug
  5. Stock Airbox
  6. no jet change
  7. Stock unmodified head
  8. Stock Bore and stroke
Last week we burned up rod bearing (massive overheat followed), rebuilt bottom end. and this week overheat and stalled, motor still runs fine, is it possible that carb tuning is that far off? or the Procom could be causing? Please help, people with experience...

I don't know about 125's, but I do know that with a UNI filter and FMF exhaust, the jetting needs to be checked. Maybe a cooler plug.
