what exactly is the point of removing the parking brake, and if you do remove it do you remove the whole set up or just the pad :3question:

some riders remove it to save some weight.

i removed it because its a big chunk of crap on my handlebars that I don't have to look at anymore....plus its a pain in the butt when the limiter starts malfuncitioning. Get rid of it unless you plan on parking downhill on the streets of San Francisco.

I still have mine but god knows why. Im buying a block off plate and tearing that sucker off asap.

The cable can be removed from the rear caliper and just leave the parking brake hardware on till you get the blockoff. Remove the switch from the bars to prevent the limiter from engaging.
