how do i bypass this? do i just cut off the button and ground it or do i have to leave it on?

Just disconnect the plug with the two wires running into it from the clutch perch. Then just zip tie it somewhere out of the way.

No, behind the left headlight there is a white 2 wire plug, just disconnect it.

the white one rite behind the headlight goes to the fan. so is it the ones way up under there that are a bitch to get to. i thought i disconnected the rite one because i pulled on the sensor and that white plug moved so i disconnected it and it still sputters. now what?

Worked for me, regardless of what position the lever is in.

follow wire down under hood and disconnect it, simple as that.

thats what i did and it still pops and sputters. so i plugged it back in and pushed the sensor button down and it was fine??? what the hell do i have to unplug it anywhere else or just that one spot?

did you unplug the right one? its not that hard, its the top sensor, not the bottom.

yes i did. the top one. but now the POS wont even start. and i put it all back together. what in the hell could this be. its all back how it started.

i finally got it to start and i was revving it up and it just died. but at idle its good.

660rider is right. It will do the exact same thing as cutting the wire does. Doesnt allow the circuit to go to ground.

Sounds like there is another problem.

That sensor button should be open. When you engage the parking brake it pushes in on that sensor. Can you start it in gear while holding the clutch in? If you can't its definitely the PB sensor.
