Hello,

I just wanted to give any new purchasers out there a heads up that DynoJet has changed the look of the PC5. At least for 2015+, it no longer looks like it does in EVERY image you find online (grey/red) it's just a basic black with "DYNOJET" in stencil font, with "JET" in red. I thought I got taken on ebay but a reputable tuner said they now look like this. So don't panic if it looks straight from Hong Kong.

Next up is just some findings that seem to go against the common language on the forums, regarding the DynoJet maps they have available on their website. I've been lead to believe that running even the most minor of changes will create a lean condition (*too lean; the severity of which relative to how "minor" your change was). However, the DynoJet map for a completely stock bike goes, what I would say, significantly lean for a decent portion of the RPM band (into the -20+) and through most of the throttle position range.

Their map for just an Intake/no lid (GYTR) fattens things up in places but there are still some pretty lean areas in there too (-20+).

Has my entire raptor life been a lie?? haha. But really though, it does seem pretty contradictory to what knowledge I thought I gleaned from this site. It does, however, make sense in regards to almost every other tuning application I've had experience with: things are fat from the factory, first step is to lean them out; make moar power...granted that's focused in auto's.

Curious as to your thoughts on this.

I don't remember when it changed, but from the factory, the early Raptors run lean, the newer Raptors run rich. Early Raptors had a 16 bit ECU and later has a 32 bit ECU. So, if the factory map is rich, yes, it will need some leaning out to what seams like to much.
