If you're thinking of getting a PCV and a dynatek, I'd look into the PCV with ignition controller or the MSD blaster as well. Both options are cheaper than a piggyback fuel controller and a programmable ignition and both will do the same work as the fuel/ignition controllers do separately.

A tether or kill switch wires inline with some aspect of the electrical system, typically either a coil or the ignition, and when the tether cord is removed the bike will no longer run. These are required equipment for most organized race venues (though drag racing is an exception) and a tether is a good piece of safety equipment to have. You can attach the tether to a piece of clothing or around your wrist so that if you fall off, the quad stops running hopefully reducing the chance of damage and injury to bystanders.
