In the process of rebuilding the carbs on my '05, and noticed something that seems odd. When fully seating the pilot screws, my left screw sticks further into the barrel than the right screw when fully turned in. Are they supposed to be the same length inside the carbs when fully seated?

My stock ones are the same but i got some vitos ones that were different length in the barrel so i didnt use them.

my vitos are the same way, i was told on here when i asked that it didn't matter how much it stuck up through the hole, all that mattered was the turns out from seated. didn't make sense to me at the time, still really doesn't unless the tip is actually not doing anything at all. but i've been running them that way ever since and hasn't seemed to be a problem.

Agreed, turns out is the important thing... that sets the space between the needle and the housing that lets fuel through.
