I've been searching through the forum regarding converting to a direct shifter and I'm trying to find information on what shifter would be best for small feet. The YZ250 aftermarket shifter I bought off Ebay is too long for me. I wear a 7 in men's boots in case that information is helpful.

Is the issue the length or the height? You can adjust them on the spline as far as up and down location. I don’t recall my wife or daughter having an issue reaching it on either our 350 or the 700’s. If it is the length, can you post what the dimensions of what you have is? Some members in here might have something laying around that could be sent to you, myself included.

Was the OEM one too long as well?

The OEM one with the linkage was fine. Was having an issue finding neutral so I thought I would try a direct shifter.

If you don’t want to go back to the OEM one, then you can take that shifter to a welder and have them cut a bit out for you. It would be very easy to shorten.
