I recently purchased a raptor 350 and the shift lever for a reverse does not want to move back while I pull clutch in don’t know if shifting lever is stuck or if I’m doing something wrong please help
Ok, but I am asking if the lever coming out of the engine itself will move by hand.
The cable may not be pulling it when the knob on the fender is turned.
The knob mount is also commonly broken, so the whole housing turns, and the cable is not moved.
If that is the case, you need a $10 repair mount for the knob.
So, did you check it yet?
Is the shaft from the case stuck/arm on shaft won't move? It's unlikely.
Or, is the reverse knob housing broken?
Or, is the cable damaged?
My money is on B.
Let us know.
On mine it goes into reverse fine and then it doesn’t want to go back into neutral so I found that pushing the reverse lever as far forward as I can and then clicking it down into first gear and then it should be easy to put into neutral from reverse.
Did you figure out how to permanently fix this?
I just got 350 with the same issue. I am trying to figure out a consistent way of shifting out of Reverse that works every time....

I’ve had issues with mine not wanting to come out reverse, I found out if I turn it off then play with the gears and turn it back on I can manage to get it to neutral then down to 1st gear
Just noticed this was the 350 section, not 660 or 700, so no reverse cable.
Sorry.
