I just bought a Raptor 700R, 2006 from a guy that was doing lots of wheelies with it. He tipped it over once. Anyway I don't know if that has someting to do with my poblem.

When reving high, in need of power the engine backfires and the motor seems to stall with me and even dies. When I ride normal nothing happens. It always happens during fast runs in need of power accompanied with high rpm. I changed the spark plug. I have a feeling that this has to do with too much gas and too little oxigen? Some help in this would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Hey thanks for the replies.

- yes it's a stock bike
- the air box lid is on
- Could you please exlain to me what the exhaust baffle is? :3question:

And I'm going to check/clean the fuel line rail. I'll let you know.

Could this be a lack of service in the area of Valve Adjustments? I know te prior owner never services it since he bought it at the dealer. He did the oil changes etc. at his home. But the ATV is 6 months old. I read in the manual that lack of valve clearance adjustment changes the fuel/air mixture?
