On my dads 660, if you idle up or pull in the clutch to stop, it doesnt idle back down and stays at high idle, I just fixed the carbs today, they pulled out of the engine hoses and it seems to run better but it still doesnt idle down, anyone know whats wrong??? Help please!

need a little more info. Has it always done this? any mods?

Usually if you blip the throttle and the motor does not return to idle, the pilot circuit is lean.

Since he got it, it has done it... He got it about a year ago, its a 2001 Raptor with low hours and only mod is a K&N filter...and the only way to idle it down is to let clutch out a little bit in gear

I am not sure how a 4 stroke reacts to an air leak, but i had a YZ250 that the ignition side crank seal leaked and caused the thing to idle high and irraddicly.
Maybe you have dirt in the throttle cable or something obstucting it, like a kink in the cable ? Is there slack in the throttle cable at the grip? If not maybe loosen the adj.
