Hi All,

Just bought new raptor, installed Gytr jet kit.

I changed standard pilot jet to the Gytr pilot jet, I forgot to check how many turns out the standard jet was.

Do anyone know how many turns out should the pilot jet be? Or does it matter?

The JET is tightened fully into its seat. The pilot (sometimes called fuel) SCREW is set at some turns out from seated... it acts as a valve that reduces fuel flow thru the jet, so the farther in it is (closer to seated) the less fuel passes thru the pilot jet.

If you don't know where the fuel (pilot) SCREW was originally set, start at about 2 1/2 turns out (CCW) from gently seated (turned clock-wise all the way until you gently feel it reach stop, then turn counter-clockwise 2 1/2 turns).

Thank you for quick reply. I agree with you but..

Why is there installation note in Gytr jetting instructions:

Before disassembling the carburator, make sure to note the number of times the pilot screw is turned out from the seated position to its set position.

Why to put this text in instruction when we change mainjet ans pilot jet (no adjustment of pilot screw at all)?
