Hey all,

just bought a 2006 raptor 350 as my first ATV. I just installed nerf bars and went to ride it around and the shifter would click indicating it was in gear but when I released the clutch nothing would happen and a slight knocking sound would occur. As a first time ATV owner I’m clueless, and am thinking it’s something to do with the clutch? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Could be, it sounded like it would shift into gear and would feel like it too

That knocking sound might be a clue to your problem. If your reverse lever is not completely either all the way foreword or all the way back you will hear a continuous knocking sound and you will not be able to move even if you have selected a gear.
