Swap

So... I have a 2004 YFZ450 and a 2004 Raptor 660. I am selling the 450. Before I sell it I want to swap the shocks. I am assuming that the stock 660 shocks will fit on the 450 with No issues, right? Anyone in the So Cal area looking to buy an 04 YFZ450 with 660 Shocks on it? Haha!

I just started working on installing these. What I did first is used a drill and bit and tried to get an idea where to start my square in the a-arm. I then used a Dremel with a cut-off wheel and started my square from the underside. It's a lot of trying and cutting/grinding. I just picked up some grinder wheels for my angle grinder to see if it will get the job better. You can get away with the Dremel but man is it a pain in the ass. I still have to trip down the bottom bracket for the back of the shock to not hit and I still need to shave some more off the top brackets. Hoping to get some more time later tonight to finish one side.

This guy did a step by step vid on the process, in case anyone prefers a video over the pictures.

He used 700 shocks, but the process is essentially the same for YFZ shock install.

Hey, thanks for the shout out. I've also made a second video showing the assembly of the shocks and final mounting. I tried to make the videos as informative as possible for newbies without boring the experienced too much.
