My axle rocks back and forth just around a 1/4" or so. I believe it is the rear bearings. No noise just a little movement. I noticed it when I put a new chain and sprokets. Are they hard to change? :3question: I this the problem?

Most likely the problem, and fairly easy to change. What's not always so easy is getting the old bearings out. It's a simple process, but if they've been in there a while they could be a bear. Just have patientce.
