do i need it, why should I remove it and how :3question:
Yeah, the reverse gear is a horrible ratio that provides essentially no torque and therefore requires you to slip the clutch a whole lot to get going. And often times it's not enough power and can be dangerous. Not to say that 30mph backwards without the limiter isn't dangerous though.Honda_KiLlEr660R said:but is there some reason that ppl remove it
On the low end the Procom based units have it as well for 01-05.scholle said:Some of the aftermarket cdi's have the limiter built infor the 01.The stock one as stated above does not.
Welcome to the forum. Dont wory. This forum has so much info, it takes a little work to figure it all out. Newbies not only deserve some slack, but hopefully will be with us for another five years. Time flies when you are having fun. Keep posting!!!!!Ya I bypassed it by unhooking the L shaped plug under the front sprocket of my 03 raptor 660 and found an end that slides in the plug and hooked up the wire to it and slide it on the original plug and ran it to the ground on the battery.
(And now it is so fast and spits rocks out the front LOL) "works grate"
