Hey, I was looking to get an aluminum skid plate for the swingarm, just wondering what is a good one to get. I was thinking about the prm one because i have a prm grab bar and like that alot. If anyone has this one or any other one let me know how u like it. thanks

i just picked up the gyt-r swingarm skid, looks very strong but sits what looks like an inch lower.
i also will be ordering the complete set (all 3 parts) here shortly, im still decideing on what to go with but im leaning towards the gtyr or the armadillo (sp?) or i might mix match them
I have the 1/4" PRM Z-plate. Has held up very well....taken a serious beating. Not fancy but has very good coverage.

I have full PRM and the swingarm is really good. I wasnt happy with the full skid from them. GYTR is very nice.
just ordered gytr engine skid after looking around forever. probably have to take it off for oil changes, but oh well.

if the gytr swingarm skid drops ground clearance even more, i guess ill shop around for a different brand.

I went with Armadillos from rockymountainatv.com on the belly and swing arm because they don't show and GYTR on the A-arms because they have a cool cut out. These are also GYTR nerf bars...

Nope! GYT-R!!! Have had both and can tell ya that the fit and build quality is much on the GYT-R. I really like PRM stuff and have used it for years, but the proof is unmistakable IMO!
Check my sig! 8)

Except that the GYT-R engine skid neglected to include the oil drain hole for the tank. For me, that's a _major_ oversight. An 'F' on their engine skid.

I think I'll do the GYT-R A-arm skids, and Armadillo engine/swingarm. Pro Armor nerfs.
I have the GYT-R belly skid and the PRM-Z swinger. Both are great and wouldn't change either one (even though I did have to cut a drain hole in the belly skid......).
JFYI--I had the PRM. Looks like the beefiest of them all. When I
loaded my Raptor in the back of my truck, I could no longer put
my loading ramps under the 4wheeler. When I had the PRM on.
Now that I have the Pro Armor swingarm skid, I have no problems
putting my ramps UNDER the 4wheeler. PRM is in the attic. Loose
way too much GC!
Anyone who has the prm one, can u tell me how much ground clearance you loose?
Not really any more than any other skid plate that I know of........ ::)
You don't lose much, it's 1/4 inch and it forms well with the underside. While I'm satisfied with the quality and construction, I've already cracked one of the welds (two rides). I'm assuming I can take it to a fab shop and have them fix it. I'm speaking of the PRM swingarm skid...

Yea i see where i botomed out the rotor on the stock skid plate and i dont want to do that again incase i end up bending it so i figure it will be worth the money.
