Didn't get a chance to work on it like I wanted, (popped the bolts, but couldn't pry it loose, gasket might be frozen?) but I spun it a bit and put my hand on the casing and the free spin and grind is the starter's smallest gear/starter itself. The one-way and larger gears aren't being engaged.
I think I'm going to have to get a gasket for the cover before I pull it off. Some oil dripped out, how is that replaced? Does engine or tranny fluid reach the starter? (Looks like it needs changing)
