I am having a problem with my starter relay. When you hit the starter button nothing happens. So I wiggled the relay and it will hit. Finally I was able to get it to hit everytime but I had to push down on where the wiring harness plugs into the relay. Would this be the relay or more likely a problem with my wiring harness.

if screwing with the relay is fixing the problem then yes, its the relay. disconnect it and clean it really wel with compressed air and a wired brush....make sure all connections are clean and rust free........ and tighten it down really good. Start er up and ride!!!

Check the terminals on the red cables too...you never know.

i RECENTLY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM(OOPS CAPS) But it was the starter switch that had shit preventing a good contact. There is a hole right under it you can blow some wd-40 or air into if your too lazy to take it apart.
