hey guys,

just got a new raptor 700r. it has about 10 hours or so on it. maybe i am just an idiot, but for some reason, it gets SOOOO hot. WAY hotter than anything ive ever ridden. the fan is on, but when i turn my quad off and let the fan do its thing, it will take 4-5 min to turn off. does this mean something is up??

I dont think so.....its a big motor to keep cool so i think the equipment is just doin its thing, mine acts about the same way, a larger radiator might not have been a bad idea for Yamaha though to start thinkin about

It just means you arent driving fast enough :grin_nod: Need more air flow to keep it cool

At lower speeds (little kid puts or you break your collar bone) it kicks on all the time. notice it on my 700 and my z400.

When riding wth wife and kid mine fan comes on more. When I open it up and go wide open I dont hear it much.
