Got the tape from Summit Racing, should do a fair job of protection.
(part # THE-14002 $14.95 1.5in 15ft).
In the 3rd pic it looks like the pipe is touching the tape, but it is not.(just the angle the pic was taken)

I double checked mine after riding it for awhile and its not even close to melting the wires, hmmm weird. :thumbsup:

That's good to hear, I haven't rode mine yet(no rear shock) just started it in the garage a few times. I've got good clearance between the pipe and wire's, just want to be safe.

That's why I run duals. You can roast marshmellows on the left or right side. :'(

Took my 700 out today with a new set of Barkers. Did not check for wire clearance. Guess what, the wires do melt. My solution was to zip-tie the bundle of wires to the engine lift point. Gives plenty of clearance
