When I bought my Raptor I had to borrow a truck to get it home. Shortly after I bought a trailer and a hitch for the car.

When trailer shopping I was looking at the open trailers Lowes / Home depot sells because they were readily available. Then I found a very strange looking trailer on Craigslist. I laughed at first but later decided that it might work out nice for me. Long story short, I bought it for less than I'd have paid for one of the 'barely fits one' trailers.

The trailer is 102" wide and 12' long. The bed of it is sloped like a pitched roof. It hauls 4 Raptors without using the Tortoise mating ritual. It has strategically placed rings welded on for tie downs.I'll have to get a pic of it.

if we load them in the truck we go the same way, just a little different

and this was my tow set up, i still have the trailer, we would stack both up on grab bars in this 4x8 trailer, first quad in forwards, then put it up on it's rear grab and slide it all the way forward, then back the 2nd quad up to the trailer and put the back tires on the lip apply brake or engage gear, and lift all the way to it's rear grab bar. at 1st i used 4 3000lb ratchet straps , one on each corner, they would come loose, so i switched to 2 straps, going all the way over, threw mid part of the frame/body and they never came loose a bit.....

and this is how i dream to tow someday!! it's my buddy Joses truck

Can you say mount up?

We've had a Suzuki and my 350 on a small trailer...a bigger trailer is in need now cause two 700s are hard to haul like that. Too long. Yeah I hope to haul with a truck and toy hauler someday...so much easier...lol.

I can’t believe you guys don’t strap your quads down. The quad will be a weapon as soon as you hit something. I know I don’t want 400 lbs of quad to come flying at me or my vehicle

Are you saying that you pull a 12'x8.5' trailer (one that sounds heavy) and 4 Raptors with a car :3question: Now I want to see pics 2

maybe it's a big car? :grin_nod: i know with my honda accord 4cyl i could tow 2 ok if i did the tortuise tech, but any heavier or a trailer and if they are both standing on end i would get to much resistance and it sucked...

LOL - no, trailer will hold 4 - car would have a heart attack. The trailer is actually pretty light. I think I could get away with two Raptors but I'd be pushing it. I've had 3 Raptors on it. You just drive up the ramps and it fits two side by side and another row behind. Here's a pic of it:

In Michigan it is illegal to haul without tiedowns, at least on a trailer. When I put her in the pickup I don't strap but on the trailer???? My Dad lives about 15 miles from me, he has a fully equiped shop with all the cool tools. When I take the quads over to work on them I have to cross a set RR tracks, even when I use straps they jump around. IMO it's not a good idea to haul a $9000 + ( at least in my case ) machine without a strap or two. Give it some time and I think we can buy some parts from you though.

The straps are from Wal-mart $20. They are retractable ratchet straps, no more "tails in wind" from excess strap fly around and coming untied.
