I just bought a 03 660 and took it out for the first time this weekend. I was following behind another quad and it my quad would bog down and stall if I got on the throtte quickly after lugging around on the trail. It seemed the quad had too much fuel. If I was going hard it would not give any problems but get to the technical slower stuff and the it would stall out when I get on it. Could this be a jetting issue or a carb issue or something else.

new plugs and the carbs are clean. It seems like it has too much fuel in it because if I am going slow and rev it slowly and then rev it hard a couple of times it runs fine but if I try to take off after going slow it would stall.

Have you eliminated the possibility of the Parking Brake or Reverse Limiters kicking in?

Make sure coil connection is good and that plug cap is seated snug on the plug. I thought mine was one day, turned out that the little rubber boot had kept me from staying on the plug so it was running intermittently.

Wrong jets or dirty carbs. Most likely dirty carbs!
