I'm trying to replace the OEM hood and tank cover on my Rappy. I am looking for the black plastic pieces that came stock on the 2008, as opposed to the outrageously expensive blue carbon fiber that came on my 2007 SE.

I think the part numbers should be 1S3-21556-10-00 for the hood, and 1S3-2171A-00-00 for the tank cover. Neither dealers or online suppliers can confirm for sure what color corresponds with what part number.

Can anyone here confirm that these are the black plastics?

17 COVER, TOP UR FOR DPBSE 1S3-2171A-00-00

DPBSE is Deep Purplish Blue, aka Yamaha blue. Since the black nose piece was on the blue 08, this should be your part number.
