First off I may be a newbie on this site but ive been on quads for 15 years 6 of which ive raced XC.
Ive got an 06 700 with a HMF sport full exhaust, pro design intake and dobeck set at 3, 7:30, 3, 9 holeshot XC tires, and I it also has a 15T on the front I am still running the lid on the airbox and would like to keep it that way considering the conditions I race in. The fact is that when I bought my raptor stock and he has a yfz thats piped and jetted we raced on the road and it was dead even till 5th and I barely pulled. On loose dirt he ran away from me everytime. After doing the mods listed above he beats me by almost a quads length on the pavement and I beat him by about that much in the dirt.

My question is: I live in Indiana and I need to know if my PCIII is dialed in wrong or what. I assure u that it is not rider error!

Yeah it was just that you said PCIII and had dobeck numbers. Try sikraptor's comment, play with your settings a little

if that doesnt work may want to consider going back to the stock front sprocket. my buddy ran a 15t w/ a pair of tall 20" rears, he said it felt like he lost power when he got into 5th. I'd pull from him everytime in 4th and 5th
