I ride tight trails sometimes with 4X4s but I love to rip when I can!
This is what’s done
K&N stock replacement
K&N Power lid
FMF Power core 4
12 tooth front sprocket
170/175 jets
20 in HD’s

IM going to have it apart (new frame) and this is what im thinking
Weisco piston 11:1
Hot-Cams stage 2
Kebblewhite springs
Adjusting the floats (I learned here)
DynoJet needles

Now for my questions
First - I’m thinking that any bottom end I’ll lose from the cam I’ll make up with the piston True?
Second - should I go with the Power Bomb header?
Third - Will stock clutches hold up?
I’m guessing 53 hp sound close?

Answers, well at least an attempt:

1. Yes the piston will keep the bottom end strong while the cam lets you rev out.
2. Powerbomb header will give you more power, but the whole FMF setup is a low-mid setup. You will likely be happier with a whole new full exhaust system and just sell the slip-on.
3. Stock clutch will do well if it's not too badly abused. I'd suggest getting a GYT-R clutch kit with the stiffer springs and new plates.
4. You won't hit that hp mark without a better, full pipe.
