i have a 03 raptor and i am putting a JE 12:1 compression piston and i am looking at buying a stage 2 cam and spring kit from hot cams i was just wondering if i would run into clearance issues with my valves any help would be appriciated

If everything is properly setup, you shouldn't have any issues with that setup. Clay the piston though and you want at least .050 piston to valve clearance.

I have ran that combo in many engines before and never had a clearance problem. But coalshed said before claying the head is an easy and safe way to make sure.

I always run atleast .040" between the piston and intake valves, and .060" (or more if possible) between the exhaust valves, as the valves and piston get hotter on that side of the combustion chamber and require more clearance.
