I'm using semi synthetic 10w30. Depends on the temperature where you're riding. I run it @ 110 degrees here in AZ in the summertime. Never had a problem.

Don't know what anti-friction additives the marine 4m oil may have - this is what you worry about as they attack the clutch in your quad. A call or email to Yamaha might get you the info you need.

I see in nothing in Yamaha literature that tells me whether 4m is going to be safe for your wet clutch.

thats exactly what I was afraid of is the clutch. Ill call up yamaha see what they say about it.
