Not trying to be smart, but what difference does it really make? I wondered myself when I was debating on buying the SE or the regular R. I went with the R for the price difference but may upgrade later, I figured a shock is a shock as long as your not jumping too high.

Simple fact of adjustability. You can tune them more to you which makes a world of difference. Same reason why the SE shocks are better then the standard YFZ shocks cause they have low and high speed compression where as the yfz only has a basic compression adjustment.

Ok, thanks for the info. Not trying to steal the thread or anything, but is there anyway to adjust the rear shock?

Jman,I'm a big guy around 245#.My parents farm has lots of off camber turns, that would make my quads front end dive.I srewed the springs all the way down, adjused the comp.to the hardest setting & the rebound to 1 click from fast return setting. It works great for me.
Rear shock has same set up(check your owners manual)
