I think they are much more comfortable to ride with. They don't angle in near as much as the stockers, and the stockers are weak as hell. But if I was to go aftermarket I would get the whole shaboin da boing. Get a stem, with clamps and handlebars.

If you go with the Flex bars you will see a huge differance, but in most other cases I don't feel any differance in aftermarket bars other than looks.

 

True, the Flexx bars are the shit A++

 

sorry to sort of "take" your thread, hope you dont mind figured id save space with a similar question. but anybody know if i can get one of the rectangular fat bar pads and just put it on the stock tapers? dont really want to hit my head on the plastic cover thing and cant afford a crossbar at the moment.
