How hard is it to replace the jet?
Do you have to disassemble the Carb?

 

Not hard at all. Just loosen the two clamps, rotate carb ( dont have to take carb out of boots) remove the float bowl remove pilot jet install new one put new one in. Done Total time 15 min.

The best thing I did was drill out the main( I think it was a#57 bit) and added two very thin washers to the needle. Now working on a custom sprocket to add a tooth to the front. Also I taken out the spark ar.

I would like to know myself it that jet works. If it does, would it be a suitable jet if I ran an aftermarket high flow air filter with it?

 

Find a local ETON dealer and tell them to order you a # 35 pilot jet for a viper 90. i will post the part # when i get back to the shop and look it up. I has totally changed how this quad starts and runs.All for the better

 

Will this work in a 80 model as well? My 80 is extremely hard to start though it runs okay once I do. I will replace it with this if it is the same.

 

Where did you get a #35 jet I just ordered one and it does not fit.

 

When ever your child is finished riding, turning off the gas and draining the carb is essential we've found.

It's easy, and so important.
Just sitting for a week and our 90 gums up.

 

I had the same issues many others have reported... I looked up the local eton dealer from their site and called them. This is a known issue due to EPA rules. He suggested a 39 pilot and had it in stock. I put it in last night and it runs great!!!!

While I had the carb off I pulled the cap covering the jet screw for a little more tuning. I used a small drill bit to on the cap and just wiggled it till it came out.
