how the hell are you guys getting the freaking rear hub nuts off? i have tried a cheater bar, a cresent wrench an impact wrench still nothing. I am about ready to kick the whole damn thing to the curb!!! Any thoughts? how do you keep the hubs from turning i have it in gear but when i really bear down on it with the cheater bar i hear something in the engine and i am afraid i am stripping something!!!!!!

Pull the axle out and slide the hub forward, you should see it, it's just a ring on the inside (facing carrier) of the axle. the sprocket hub should slide out a little bit and you can see it.

you can't really pull this snap ring off with the axle installed, so with the brake hub off and chain off, you can just beat the axle out at this point.

brings back memories of the first time I took the axle nut off of my 660, broke an 18 inch pipe wrench by putting a big steal pipe on the end and standing on it. ended up having to cut the nut off haha!

Mine slid out pretty easy...I know I know I was really lucky  But I used a 3 pound I believe. Don't be afraid to lay the wood to it ha ha just make sure you have a socket over the end....On my 660 it took a day and a half just to beat the axle out, it sucked a big one.

i was told that the gforce would last about 2 -3 seasons (if i was nice to it) and then i would be right back to replacing it again. let me just say after all the crap i have gone through just trying to get the stock one off i really don't want to have to do this again anytime soon warranty or not!!!

It is much easier haha...stock axles are just a pain cause they're usually in the quad for so long before removal, and especially riding in water will make them even harder to get out. It might help to have a friend pull on the sprocket side to get it to loosen up while you hit the outside end...just make sure the axle isn't pointed directly at them

just an update the axle is on and has been ridden up and down the street. I am letting her cool off before i get to make sure everything is tight and recheck the sparky to make sure the map is right. She fly and feels much more stable with the new axle and the +2 on each side really helps make her feel stable. Once i got a bigger sledge hammer it made that axle come on out like it should have and then the new one go on in like it should have. thanks again to everyone for their advice and thoughts on this "little" project. things to add to the tool list for anyone doing this in the future. 1/2" breaker bar, big long handled sledge hammer, grease, pipe wrench for the axle nut, a pole to be used for a breaker bar (use with pipe wrench) and then of course the other tools you need and should already have (hopefully). and a friend to help you and so someone can listen you rant and rave over the dang thing. good luck and thank you very much!!!
