I have a lot of hours out there and I have tried sandstar type paddles and really they do not compare to Skat Traks. I would suggest Skat traks Edge or an 8 paddle Hauler. The skats are lighter and stronger, exactly what you want out of a dune tire.

if you want a mix of light weight, hook up and turnability jump on these

i dont know the guy, nor have i seen em, but if they were in good shape i was gonna get them.
i decided to go with haulers instead. wanted a little more bite.

straight paddles will give you better straightline performance, v cup paddles improve turning response.

they dont come in my size, currently I have 20-11-10, does it matter? And im not really trying to spend over 100 a tire, I found 2 brand new sand stars for 149 shipped to my door
Im also more concerned with duning, and going over bowls turning etc, way before I am going in a straight line

i'd get those used ones for sale in the classifieds. or a set of sandstars. $100 for a set of edges is worth the drive from palm springs to the LA area. imo. i'm considering buying them for a second set.

sandstars looks sweet, are tougher, and will get you anywhere in glamis. they are heavier than the skat trak edges. i just sold a set of front and back for $250 on craigslist in LA.
