Hello and new to forum. Got a 2012 Raptor 90 I've owned since new. Always had trouble starting, but good carb clean always cured it. Moved up to #37 jet. New spark plug. I'm getting fuel to plug. Good spark. Will not start. Good battery. Any suggestions, help is appreciated.

Check the valve adjustment, especially the intake.

Be sure the timing marks line up.

Will it bump start?

Finally got it started, but....
First I found a small tear in the fuel hose right after the filter. Fixed
Second I have to really lay into the throttle for it to start. Won't start off choke alone. Once running and warm it will stay idled.
I have never tore into valves or top end on this one. Never really rode it enough. Maybe 50-60 hours on it. Would the valves or poor compression cause starting issues? Thanks Dezperado for reply 👍🏻

Especially the intake valve will cause hard starts. Not enough fuel can enter the cylinder if to tight'

Once started does it smoke or run poorly? It may not be necessary to do a top end. Start with a valve adjustment. Depending on access, it should take less then a hour.

Then, if you want to freshen up the top end, do it during your off season.

Check with Morphrider, he may have a free digital manual you can download.

No smoke at all. Runs good once started and warm. Haven't really reved it all the way out, still governed down a little for 8 yo. Definitely going to check the valves today. Got that digital service manual already 👍. Thanks again for help everyone. Dezperado, I refuse to grow up as well! Forever Young 🤪

If I'd of known I was gonna live this long I would have taken better care of myself, lol. And, today is my birthday, 73! 4/20/47, also national hemp day and Hitler's birthday. Now I know where I get it from, ha. To you young ones, (I can say that), enjoy life and ride.
