These are some charts from a recent mid level build i did. Most everything i build is really big cc but this motor really impressed me it was a trail bike lol but cant really imagine riding it in the trails.

Hot rods 5mil/108 trinity cylinder (815)
12.5-1 Modified JE Piston
RHC14
WK 54TB
Pinky with pc3
no lockup but modified beefier stock clutch setup
+2 head (EHS/BARKER)
LTE Duals

stock ignition (no dyna)

80 hp on our dyno is very strong we tend to not see the # other people do ?

i like the power from 8-9k rpm

vs a big 3 bike with duals/pc3/no lid

pretty respectable. what did you have to modify on the JE piston? flycut the valve reliefs,if so how much. also how much do the lower cases need bored to accept a 108 cylinder. thanks. Im wondering cause im at the point of making some changes and just havent decided what i want to do. thanks

The dyno readings appear to be low. The stock bore readings are the verification.

Overview:
Torque is what you feel and acceleration is when the ground torque results in the quickest time over a measured distance. To achieve the best ground torque you need the widest band with the highest RPM.
The small blocks generate the widest and highest rpm torque.
Example: 450 with 37 ft lbs X 3.63 (gearing)= 134 ground torque.
Weight quad/driver 450 lbs / 134 = 3.35 lbs per torque. = 70 mph

700 with 55 ft lbs X 2.85 = 158 ground torque
500 lbs / 158 = 3.16 lbs per torque = 72 mph

650 with 50 ft lbs X 3.33 = 165 ground torque
525 lbs / 165 = 3.18 = 72 mph

815 with adjusted torque of 59 Ft lbs X 3.33 = 196 ground torque
500 lbs / 196 = 2.55 lbs per torque = 78 mph

As you can see, ground torque has a major influence in hill racing.
The 450 has a torque band of 3000rpm and thus is geared shorter
The 700 has a torque band of 2000rpm and thus is geared taller
The 650 has a torque band of 2500rpm and thus is geared appropriately
The 815 has a torque band of 2500rpm and thus is geared shorter

there is mph you can see how early and how long this build is pulling it dont take its sweet old time up the mountain and peak at the top it comes on pretty hard and holds it
