Hello,

I am new to the Forum and in general new to owning a bike. In my past i have not come across the opportunity to buy a raptor, however time has come and i am considering picking one up.

A few Questions-

1) The bike is a used 2012 Raptor 700R Special Edition with only 10 miles on the speedo, selling for 5500£. Or wait till End of June for a new 2014 bike?

2) Some things to a have a look at while i am testing the bike?

3) The guy has added a few parts to this bike, TWIN DMC EXHAUST SYSTEM,
DURA BLUE REAR AXLE, ITP WIDE CHROME ALLOYS, LOW PROFILE SUPER MOTO TYRES, AC REAR GRAB BAR , AC FRONT BULL BAR , KILL SWITCH , AC NERF BARS, BIGGER JETS.

Is all this reasonable?

I am attaching a a couple of pictures.

Cheers
SJ

Welcome to the forum!

To me the bike looks to be in decent shape but also looks like there's rust in certain places maybe it's just the pics. I looks to have some nice mods already on it, if you test it out just make sure everything is nice and tight to be road worthy, listen close to the engine and maybe bring someone with knowledge of machines with you just to help inspect. Good luck!

I think that guy lied about the bigger jets! :D It is fuel injected.

The price seems a bit stiff.

Yep, fuel injected does not have jets.

And, yes, the tires are worn. Ask to see the receipt for purchase date.

It has some good mods. But, DMC exhaust REQUIRE an aftermarket fuel controler. Ask to see the spark plug. If the center is white, walk away. Unless you plan on replacing the piston and valves.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM.
