So the other weekend I was riding around the house and my raptor just cut off and wouldn't start back up (fuel pump wouldn't come on) found a blown fuse which fixed the pump but now it will not stay running and pops like crazy, it is completely stock but the idiot who had it before me was running it without an air filter and they drilled a hole in the muffler which has no packing left in it... I don't know if this has anything to do with it not running because it ran fine untill that day never had any problems, I have changed the fuel and spark plug, I also cleaned the throttle body and injector, and I am not getting any codes... any help will be highly appreciated, thanks

So it ran GOOD for an hour, then died, after new fuel pump?

Maybe that means the connection from the fuel pump, to your wire harness is shorted / shorting somewhere. Or maybe a BAD connection somewhere in between or something.

If it ran like crap, then ran good for an hour after new fuel pump, then DIED again... I think the odds of it being a bad fuel pump again are pretty low :)

Probably a bad connection / connector to the fuel pump, or shorting somewhere.

To test if it is getting fuel, just crank it over for a few seconds, then see if the plug is wet. Or if you REALLY want to know for sure, crank it over with the plug OUT of it, and see if a mist of gas blows out of the spark plug hole. Just make sure the spark plug wire is no where near it, or near ANYTHING for that matter. You don't want a spark, because it will cause a temporary flash / flame if it ignites the mist of gas.

Wouldn't want to melt your plastic or burn your eye brows :)
